About
The Kastellorizo Folk Art Museum, also known as the Ottoman Mosque Museum, is a history museum in the small island of Kastellorizo, in the South Aegean region of Greece. Built in 1775, during the Ottoman era, as a mosque, known as the Kavos Mosque (lit. 'Mosque of the Peninsula'), or simply the Kastellorizo Mosque (Meis Camii), the mosque was abandoned during the 1910s. The structure was repurposed as a museum in 2007.
