18 Dead, 1 Injured in Serious Car Crash in Sudan’s Nile River State.

In Sudan’s Nile River State, a serious traffic collision occurred when a truck suddenly veered off the road and struck a passenger vehicle, killing 18 people and injuring a 19th. The crash happened within the boundaries of Nile River State, a region in northern Sudan.

Nile River State is one of Sudan’s 18 states, covering an area of 122,123 square kilometres. According to 2018 estimates, its population was about 1.51 million. The state borders Egypt to the north, Northern State to the west, Khartoum State to the south, and Kassala State and Red Sea State to the southeast.
