Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (HUKP) is a state polytechnic in Katsina, Katsina State. It is located in Batagarawa local government some 260 kilometers (160mil) east of the city of Sokoto and 135 kilometers' (84mil) northwest of Kano, close to the border with Niger. Hassan Usman Katsina was established by "The Katsina Polytechnic law " which came into operation on 1 January 1983. This Law abrogated the North Central College of Art, Science, and Technology law of 1975 and effectively created the Polytechnic as a legal entity out of the defunct KCAST. This Law was subsequently amended by the Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (Amendment) Law of 2003.
