Batangas State University, The National Engineering University (Filipino: Pambansang Pamantasan ng Batangas, BatStateU The NEU), is a state university in Batangas, Philippines. Established in 1903 as a training school, it is the oldest higher education institution in the region. The institution became a state college in 1968 and was renamed the Pablo Borbon Memorial Institute of Technology. It was elevated to state university status in 2001 and currently has eleven campuses throughout Batangas. Since 1999, Batangas State University has consistently ranked among the top-performing mechanical engineering schools in the country based on the results of the biannual board examinations.
