The Kızılırmak (Turkish pronunciation: [kɯˈzɯɫɯɾmak], Turkish for "Red River"), historically known as the Halys River (Ancient Ἅ), is the longest river flowing entirely within Turkey. It is a source of hydroelectric power and is not used for navigation.
