Al Badiyah Mosque

Al Bidya Mosque (Gulf, romanized: Masjid Al-Bidyah, sometimes transliterated as Al-Bidiyah or Al-Badiyah) is a historical mosque in the village of Al Bidya Emirate of Fujairah, the U.A.E. At some 500 years old, it is the oldest mosque in the country, although ruins of a 1,000 year-old mosque have been found in Al Ain, in Abu Dhabi. It is located in the small village of Al-Badiyah or Al-Bidiyah, about 40 km (25 miles) north of the Emirate's capital city, and is also known as the "Ottoman Mosque".
