Chauburji

Chauburji (literally "Four Towers") is a building located in Agra, in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. Dating back to the Mughal period, the actual purpose of the building and its date of construction are debated by scholars. It is set within a garden on the banks of the Yamuna river, and a small mosque is situated to its west. The building has a square plan, with towers on each of its four corners. Its interior is divided into nine interconnected chambers. It is listed as a monument of national importance.
