Bozşaköl copper mine

North Kazakhstan Region, Kazakhstan

The Bozshakol mine (Kazakh, Bozshakól mys ken orny) is a large copper mine located in northern Kazakhstan in North Kazakhstan Province. Bozshakol represents one of the largest copper deposits in Kazakhstan and largest single mine development in the Commonwealth of Independent States region by both scope and volume of production. It has estimated reserves of 1.17 billion tonnes of ore grading 0.36% copper with valuable by-products of gold and molybdenum.
