About

Kozachyi Island, formerly known as Pervomaiskyi Island, is an artificial island in the Black Sea, and is located between the Kinburn Spit and Ochakiv at the mouth of the Dnieper–Bug estuary. The island has historically been used as a military fort to blockade the Dnipro river.
