Comerong Island

Comerong Island is a small island and locality in the Shoalhaven region of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated at the mouth of the Shoalhaven River, bordered by Berry’s Canal to the west, the Crookhaven River to the south, and the Tasman Sea to the east. As of the 2021 Census, it has a population of 19. Public access to the island is via a cable ferry from Numbaa, operated by Shoalhaven City Council. Approximately half of the island is designated as the Comerong Island Nature Reserve.
